Dan and I have been in business a long time. We have expanded operations and locations. We have used small and then larger banks- but we came back to the local banks because they fit us. Local banks know us by name. They are involved in our concerns, community and needs. They are part of the family business and that is one worry that we don't have.
I think many companies think they need the larger banks as a sign of prestige or offered services, but we found that local banks and especially The Farmers Bank met all of those needs. We came to The Farmers Bank after using them in one of our locations and decided to have them quote a refinance. Our larger bank used the LIBOR rate and that just wasn't a good deal for us. What disappointed me was the local officers couldn't make the decision without input from corporate headquarters. At The Farmers Bank, we know corporate headquarters and if we need financing or just want information-we go directly to the professionals. We have found all the needed services at competitive pricing and Farmers fits us. Dan and I have decided that the big banks can come and go but it is the "local community" banks that make our business succeed. The Farmers Bank has become our business bank for life.

There are times when a person requires answers and guidance from financial experts. There are also times when a bank should provide more than just a safe place to have a checking and savings account. With our country's recent economic problems and as a "baby boomer", I find that this is the time for conservative financial advice, management and estate planning.
The Farmers Bank and especially the people in the Trust and Asset Management Department offer a large bank's professionalism and solid financial knowledge with a small bank's friendliness and personality. I have found these people to be available upon request and respond to my questions and other needs quickly and efficiently.
